Watering is one of the main things when it comes to taking care of your lawn.  Water to little and your lawn will become dry and patchy.  Water to much and the lawn may fall victim to rot, disease or fungus.

In general, you want the top 6-8 inches of sail to be moist, but not soggy – which translates to 1 to 1.5 inches per week.  Watering deeply, but infrequently, leads to stronger root development and drought resistant then watering briefly every day.

Set up a schedule to water every other day for longer periods and monitor how it is going.  Increase or decrease depending on your situation.
